Description

The United States Department of Commerce/NOAA/National Weather Service (NWS), Office of Hydrologic Development intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Office of Sponsored Research, University of New Hampshire to provide services in finding new methods of computing potential evaporation for operational river forecasting. This two (2) year contract has four (4) task requirements that will involve two significant components. They include: (1) assembling, processing and analyzing meteorological data sets from different sources and comparing them against existing data in National Weather Service River Forecast System and (2) developing, evaluating and testing new algorithms for computing potential evapotranspiration. In addition, there are several deliverables that are expected to be provided. Task requirements and time tables for deliverables can be viewed by uploading the Performance Work Statement under this notice. This is a notice of intent with no solicitation package available.
