- NA The United States Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command-Warren (TACOM-Warren) will be issuing a sole source Request for Proposal (RFP) for further additional development of the Advanced Laser Protection Technologies and Optical Systems. This effort w ill increase the option by 1731 hours and the period of performance will remain the same as on the base contract. The objective of this effort is to continue the development of the Advanced Laser Protection Technologies and Optical Systems. The contract or shall furnish, as required by the Scope of Work: support engineering data, test planning, engineering support for system development (including field tests, maintenance and engineering prototype evaluations) in support of the Laser hardened vision devic e program. Each task to be performed will be Work Directive driven. This will be acquired by a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) modification to Contract DAAE07-99-C-L072 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation. The period of performance for this effort shall be com pleted by September 29, 2004. This requirement will be solicited by letter. Issuance of a formal solicitation is not anticipated. While this RFP is being issued on a sole source basis, any interested parties may request a copy of the letter RFP by send ing an e-mail request to joudasj@tacom.army.mil. All solicitations issued on or after 1 Apr 1999 require offerors to submit offers paperless: only electronic format will be accepted. Contractors will be required to submit their response in one of the fol lowing electronic mediums: via e-mail, 3 inch disk or 650 megabyte CD ROM. Offers/bids are to be emailed to Offerors@tacom.army.mil. Do not email offers to the buyer. The subject line of the email submissions must read ??????Offer-DAAE07-03-R-L018 Close s 2003Jul02??????. Maximum size of email offers shall not exceed 3.5 megabytes. Compressed files must be self-extracting and have appropriate instructions to open. Hard copy responses will not be accepted. Please make sure this agency has been furnishe d with the following additional information: CAGE, Company Name, DUNS Number and the email address where you would like the notice sent. All offerors must be registered in the Central Contract Registry prior to receiving any award. See the website http ://ccr.edi.disa.mil/ccragent/plsql/ccr.welcome for information on how to register. The estimated release date of RFP DAAE07-03-R-L018 is 2003Jun02 and the estimated closing date for Receipt of Proposals is 2003Jul02. Number note 22 applies.
