Reference solicitation #MDA906-03-R-0002, Amendment 0003 to the TRICARE Retail Pharmacy (TRRx) solicitation is issued and may be downloaded at: http://www.tricare.osd.mil/contracting/healthcare/solicitations/retail. This amendment provides administrative changes and clarifications to the RFP including use of the TRICARE logo; distribution of the DD 2642; adding language to incorporate prompt payment provisions for claims not paid timely by the successful offeror; providing web-posting of a previously identified change; and updating the TRRx Interface Control Document (ICD). These changes are a result of questions provided by industry in response to the RFP, and questions asked during the pre-proposal conference held on April 2-3, 2003. The TRRx contractor will provide pharmacy benefit management services supporting the delivery of the TRRx comprehensive retail pharmacy services benefits to approximately 8.7 million TRICARE and Continued Health Care Benefit Program beneficiaries living in the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands. This contract is one of three venues through which pharmacy services are provided, including direct care facilities, and the TRICARE Mail Order Pharmacy. As a result of this amendment, the closing date and time for proposal submission remains unchanged at 1300 MDT, May 27, 2003. The Question and Answer period remains closed.
