Description
This project will consist of grading, drainage, aggregate surfacing, and paving on 8.59 kilometers of roadway for AZ PRA ORPI 101(1) & 12(1), Twin Peaks Road and N. Puerto Blanco Drive, in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, Pima County, State of Arizona. Estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. This project contains 3 schedules. Principal work items on the largest schedule include: Grading finishing stakes, 12,000 km; contractor testing, lump sum; roadway excavation, 8,135 m3; placed riprap, class 2, 185 m3; aggregate surface course, 12,300 metric tons; roadway aggregate, method 2, 9,500 metric tons; minor hot asphalt concrete, 3,485 metric tons; prime coat grade MC-70, 45 metric tons; culverts, various size, 125 m; culvert end sections, various size, 16 each; Portland cement concrete curb, 325 mm depth, 380 metric tons; 100 mm waterline polyvinyl chloride (PVC), 570 m; concrete barrier, 125 m; gate road closure, double, 4 each; placing conserved topsoil, 1,320 m3; along with associated surveying, staking, clearing and grubbing, fencing, and traffic control. Amendments to this solicitation will be issued in paper format to all plan holders and will be posted on our website at http://www.cflhd.gov/procurement. The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs): The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontractor at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
