Description
The Combat Direction Systems Activity, Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to procure support of AN/UYQ-70 and legacy combat systems on a Sole Source basis from Lockheed Martin Corporation, Naval Electronics & Surveillance Systems, Tactical Systems, 3333 Pilot Knob Road, Eagan, MN 55121. Services and supplies to support AN/UYQ-70 deployed systems and legacy systems for which Lockheed Martin Tactical Systems is the Original Equipment Manufacturer will include technology development, system groom and audits, design, specification development, test and evaluation, certification, operation, overhaul, restoration, maintenance, improvement/modernization, and field technical support. In addition, the contractor will supply technology insertion, training, configuration management, spares, help/hot lines, electronic documentation, and web based support for AN/UYQ-70 deployed hardware. The support will also include all aspects of hardware, software and field support services required for data systems engineering and operations support, and intelligence and electronic warfare support. Lockheed Martin Tactical Systems is the only know source with the knowledge, experience and resources to perform the work that will be required by the Government. As the original equipment manufacturer of both the legacy combat systems and the Commercial-of-the-Shelf (COTS) based AN/UYQ-70 Combat System, they are the only firm that can provide a seamless transition from the current legacy systems to the COTS based systems. LM Tactical Systems has also developed unique resources and tools to access systems' configuration data. Therefore, the Government would incur substantial costs and systems support delays in attempting to develop alternate sources. The Combat Direction Systems Activity or designated ordering activity will place multiple orders against Basic Ordering Agreement N63273-02-G-0001 for a one-year period. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Lockheed Martin Tactical Systems directly. Numbered Note 22 applies.
