Description

The Government intends to award a contract to Boeing Aerospace Operations, Inc. on a sole source basis IAW FAR 6.302-1, and 10U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The work to be performed is to implement the operations of the PACAF E-3 AWACS Mission Crew Training Center services. The services shall primarily consist of the operations of the mission training center and simulators, the creation of complex mission simulator training packages (MSTP?s) and the instruction of academics/ATD to E-3 AWACS Air Force personnel. The contract award date is anticipated to be July 1, 2003. Anticipated period of performance will be a base period of 2? months and three one-year options. Potentially interested sources must have current past performance and experience of similar scope and magnitude for these E-3 AWACS training services and knowledge of and experience working within the PACAF AOR. Interested sources having the capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirement may submit a capability statement to Lynn Fujimoto, Contracting Officer, via email at lynn.fujimoto@hickam.af.mil. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether or not the use of competitive procedures would be in the best interest of the Government. The Government will consider all responses but a determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely under the discretion of the Government. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
