- The referenced BAA is amended as follows: FROM: ?B. OBJECTIVE: (1) Technical Description: This BAA solicits innovative quad charts addressing solutions to identified Air Force Force Protection needs. The Force Protection Battlelab has divided its focus into three distinct areas: force health protection, counterterrorism/antiterrorism, and force protection. This broad agency announcement is only looking for concepts that fall within these three areas. Additionally the Force Protection Battlelab is looking to undertake initiatives consistent with the Air Force?s Integrated Base Defense philosophy. PRIORITIZED CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN TO PROPOSALS SPECIFICALLY FOCUSED ON 1) SAVING MANPOWER, AND/OR 2) INCREASING FORCE PROTECTION EFFECIENCIES. Every BAA submittal must address at least one of the essential elements of Integrated Base Defense. These elements are listed below. Deceive ? Distort the enemy?s view Deter ? Discourage enemy action Anticipate ? Understand the enemy?s perspective and prepare accordingly Deny ? Prevent enemy use of space and means of attack Delay ? Slow the enemy without decisively engaging Detect ? See all potential threats Assess ? Analyze defense effect and leverage intelligence Respond ? Take action Neutralize ? Render enemy ineffective Mitigate ? Minimize effect of enemy successes Your concept must fall within one of the three overarching categories and achieve at least one of the actions listed above, in order for it to be considered as a potential Force Protection Battlelab Initiative. Submit quad charts that address: Force Protection, Counterterrorism/Antiterrorism, and Force Health Protection Force.? TO: ?B.
