Description

The United States Coast Guard, Project Resident Office, New Orleans, LA intends to acquire from W & O Supply., on a sole source basis, exhaust isolator valve engineering improvement to the 47? Motor Life Boat consisting of 240 each 6? x 10? sleeve and flange, SP310/NN neoprene cover and tube. W & O Supply?s PROCO brand rubber sleeve and flange prototype performed successfully for one year. The Exhaust Isolator Valve System must withstand: (a) salt-water corrosion; (b) the corrosive by-products of the exhaust system; and (c) temperatures in excess of 150 degrees. It must be lightweight and self-supported. In order to integrate the engineering change into the field MLBs, the installation must be simple enough to be performed at the Station level. The PROCO brand requires no welding or gas freeing. Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items will be utilized for this acquisition. The NAICS Code is 336311, Standard Size is 500 Employees. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
