- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) intends to negotiate and award a sole source commercial contract with Advanced Vehicle Systems, Inc., 600 New Hampshire Ave, N.W., Washington D.C. 20037 for Initial Issue Provisioning (IIP), Special Tools, and training packages. The IIP and Special Tools packages are required to support the Marine Corps? Interim Fast Attack Vehicle (IFAV) and are Daimler Chrysler parts peculiar to the Marine Corps? model of Mercedes-Benz off Road vehicle (MB 270 CDI 1.5 ton truck). The IIP is comprised of items such as fuel filters, engines, oil filter inlays, brake pads and drums, starters, radiators, gearbox transmissions, transfer cases etc. The Special Tools package will consist of such items as surge tank adapters, various wrenches, resetting devices, insertion tools, compression testers, screwdriver bits etc. The Training Logistics package is required to train Marines to use the new IFAV model. It is comprised of three maintenance training courses, one for each Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) receiving the new IFAV Models, and associated travel costs for the trainers. See Note 22.
