Description
GySgt KM Mohead, Contracting Officer. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This requirement is being issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. This action is unrestricted as to business size and has a NAICS code of 326199 with a size standard of 500 employees. This solicitation contains (8) CLINs with the purpose of issuing a firm fixed-price, three (3) year Requirements contract. THE QUANTITIES STATED IN THE BELOW CLINS REPRESENT A TOT AL ESTIMATED QUANTITY ONLY. These estimates are not a representation of the quantities that will be required or ordered or a guarantee that the conditions affecting these requirements will be stable or normal. The Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, Georgia, has a requirement for the following items: CLIN 0001: Storage Container: Material: Plastic, Dimensions: Length: 64.5? x Width: 48? x Height: 50?. Lid Dimensions: Length: 64.5? x Width: 48? x Height: 3.7.? All walls must be at least 1 ? thick. Container should contain two drop doors on 64.5? sides, the drop door dimensions should be a minimum of: Length: 45? x Height: 16 ??. Metal or plastic rod hinges should attach the doors. Containers must be constructed to be able to store up to 1200 pounds. The container should have four-way access for forks to enter the container. The Total Estimated Quantity for this item is 1080. CLIN 0002: Storage Container: Material: Plastic, Dimensions: Length: 45? x Width: 48? x Height: 42.? Lid Dimensions: Length: 45? x Width: 48? x Height: 2.1? All walls must be at least 1 ? thick. Container should contain two drop doors on 48? sides, the drop door dimensions should be a minimum of: Length: 40? x Height: 12.? Metal or plastic rod hinges should attach the doors. Container must be constructed to be able to store up to 800 pounds. The container should have four-way access for forks to enter the container. The Total Estimated Quantity for this item is 200. CLIN 0003: Storage Container (ski): Material: Plastic, Dimensions: Length: 83.5? x Width: 48? x Height: 34?, Lid Dimensions: Length: 43.5? x Width: 48? x Height: 3.? All walls must be at least 1 ? thick. Container must be constructed to be able to store up to 800 pounds. The container shou ld have four-way access for forks to enter the container. The Total Estimated Quantity for this item is 150. CLIN 0004: Storage Container (sled/ski): Material: Plastic, Dimensions: Length: 94.5? x Width: 40? x Height: 34.? Lid Dimensions: Length: 94.5? x Width: 40? x Height: 3.? All walls must be at least 1 ? thick. Container must be constructed to be able to store up to 800 pounds. The container should have a minimum of two-way access for forks to enter the container. The Total Estimated Quantity for this item is 236. CLIN 0005: Storage Container (Snow Shoe): Material: Plastic, Dimensions: Length: 94.5? x Width: 45? x Height: 50.? Lid Dimensions: Length: 94.5? x Width: 45? x Height: 3.? All walls must be at least 1 ?? (no more then 2 ?? thick). Container must be constructed to be able to store up to 2000 pounds. The container should have a minimum of two-way a ccess for forks to enter the container. The Total Estimated Quantity for this item is 75. CLIN 0006: Storage Container (ski pole): Material: Plastic, Dimensions: Length: 70? x Width: 48? x Height: 34.? Lid Dimensions: Length: 70? x Width: 48? x Height: 3.? All walls must be at least 1 ?? (no more then 2 ?? thick). Container must be constructed to be able to store up to 1000 pounds. The container should have a minimum of four-way access for forks to enter the container. The Total Estimated Quantity for this item is 50. CLIN 0007: Removable Ski Inserts for CLIN 0003: FIRST ARTICLE TESTING IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM. Upon issuance of the first order for this item, the contractor shall be required to provide a first article sample to ensure proper fit, form, and function for inserts to be utilized in the storage container listed in CLIN 0003 above. The Government will provide the contractor with the skis to aid in the fabrication process. The dimensions of the skis are as follows: Length: 78? x Width: 6 ?? x Thickness: ??. The ski inserts must be able to store Government skis securely while being transported. The inserts must be stackable to allow for maximum utilization of storage container space and to allow for easy installation and removal. The Total Estimated Quantity for this item is dependant upon first article test results and the number of crates ordered. CLIN 0008: Removable Ski Inserts for CLIN 0004: FIRST ARTICLE TESTING IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM. Upon issuance of the first order for this item, the contractor shall be required to provide a first article sample to ensure proper fit, form, and function for inserts to be utilized in the storage container listed in CLIN 0004 above. The Government will provide the contra ctor with the skis to aid in the fabrication process. The dimensions of the skis are as follows: Length: 78? x Width: 6 ?? x Thickness: ??. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is considered to be the best value to the Government. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial product, provided such warranty is available at no additional cost t o the Government. Offerors responding to this announcement must provide the information contained in 52.212-3, Evaluation ? Commercial Items with their offer. The offeror shall also provide its Commercial and Government Entity (Cage) code, Contractor Establishment code (DUNS number) and Tax Identification Number. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register to be eligible for award. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. Written, facsimile, or emailed quotes and the above required information must be received at this office on or before 4 June 2003, at 4:30 PM Eastern Standard Time.
