Description

The principal features of the work include: 1) Dewatering outlet; 2) Disassembly and removal of emergency and regulating gates; 3) Repair cavitation damage and recoat emergency and regulating gates frames and transitions, 4) Replace seats on regulating and emergency gates frames and leafs; 5) Repair cavitation damage to emergency and regulating gates sills; 6) Repair cavitation damage to regulating gate leafs; 7) Recoat emergency and regulating gate leafs; 8) Repair or replace bent extension stem on regulating gate; 9) Recoat cylinders, bonnet covers, and gate hangers on emergency and regulating gates; 10) Reassemble and test gates. The estimated price range of the work is $100,000 to $250,000. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available on May 30, 2003. Requests for solicitations should be received on or before June 17, 2003, and must include Dun & Bradstreet (Duns) number, and Tax Identification Number (TIN). Facsimile request will be accepted at 406/247-7798. The tentative proposal due date is July 1, 2003. The contract is to be completed within approximately 175 days. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additonal sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed free of charge at the address listed above for the Great Plains Regional Office, and at the Bureau of Reclamation, Wyoming Area Office, 705 Pendell Boulevard, Mills, Wyoming. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The small business size standard is $28.5 million, and the NAICS Code: is 237990 (2002), 234990 (1997).
