- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard will not set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns only, do to lack of competition. Therefore this is out for full and open competition The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees, NAICS Code is 336611 and the SIC is 3731. The acquisition is for DRYDOCK repairs to the USCGC DECISIVE (WMEC-629), a 210 Foot Medium Endurance Cutter, homeported in Pascagoula,,MS. This is geographically restricted to with 200 nautical miles of homeport. All work will be performed at contractors facility. The performance period will be 13 calendar days with a start date of 24 May 2003. The scope of the acquisition is for the preserve underwater body USCGC DECISIVE (WMEC-629). This work will include, but is not limited to., (1) Routine drydocking (2) provide temporary logistics (3) preserve underwater body. Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing. At the present time, this acquisition will be issued under full and open competition procedures. . All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be provided free of charge. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g. *.TIF, *.TIF (group4), *.DWG, and *.DWF, etc.) Drawings are also still available in hard copy. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. The proposed contract listed here is set aside for small businesses only. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 30 April 2003. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
