Description

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this propsed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether future procurements will be competitive. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, test equipment, parts, transportation and any other incidentals necessary to upgrade two F112-WR-100 Adapter Engine Test-100 and three F107-WR-101 Adapter Engine Test-101 to a satisfactory operational condition in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and the Statement of Work. In addition to upgrading the Adapter Engine Tests, the contractor shall provide/install Connector Receptacle (Quick Disconnects) and Connector Plugs(Quick Disconnects) to four Test Cells. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated IAW FAR, Part 12. One award will be made under the solicitation. Award will be based on initial response. However, the Government reserves the right to enter into an exchange with a contractor for the purpose of clarifications of a response. The resultant single award will be made to the offeror who is deemed responsible in accordeance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 9, as supplemented, whose proposal conforms to the solicitation requirements.
