- Description
- NACICS 233320 – This procurement is being set-aside for HUBZone businesses only. Provide all labor and materials for the repair and alterations of the Earle Cabell and Santa Fe Federal Buildings Dallas, Texas. This project will address a variety of improvements to the interior and exterior of these two adjacent buildings located in downtown Dallas. The work will require coordination with the GSA Property Manager, Construction Manager, Building Tenants, the City of Dallas and other Government contractors. Strong capabilities to sequencing and scheduling the work and quality control are essential. Aspects of the work will require special safety protection and dust control. The work will entail after hours work and daytime work. Repair exterior marble, cut new joint in marble, repair cracks, rework joint sealants. Wet seal windows, repair cladding frames plates/covers, paint steel windows. Clean exterior stonework. Clean exterior glass, remove window film, install window film. Interior window work, window anchorage check/correction. Replace ceiling and light fixtures in public corridors. Install new ceiling registers and return air grills. Remove existing finishes and accessories in restrooms and install new finishes, and accessories. Coordinate work with GSA Asbestos removal contractor. Remove, refurbish and reinstall water closets. Install new plumbing fixtures with miscellaneous valves, fittings and hardware. Replace domestic hot water system. Replace steam boilers with hot water boilers. Replace air handler units. Replace/provide energy management system to include computers, valves, air compressor actuators and provide system training. Relocate transformers. Replace panel boards, circuit breakers and wiring. Optionally install harmonic cancellation transformers. Demo fire protection, alter fire sprinklers, replace fire sprinklers, replace fire pump. Replace/provide fire alarm system including panel, initiation devices and indicating devices. Provide/replace duct detectors. Improve fire egress. There is one option included in this project: Option 1 provide harmonic cancellation transformers. Estimated cost range is between $10,000,000 and $12,000,000. Project No. is ITX00107 & ITX00108 and Solicitation No. is GS-07P-03-UAC-0014. Solicitations will be issued electronically. Solicitation issue date will be on or about May 26, 2003. Proposal due date will be on or about June 26, 2003. This project is being procured using informal source selection procedures, which will result in a firm-fixed price award to the offeror who provides the best value to the Government. Notices of the solicitation and any amendments to the solicitation will be posted on this web site at: www.fedbizopps.gov/. Access to the complete solicitation, specifications, drawings, and amendments to the solicitation will be made available only through a secured Extranet site. Interested parties shall send all requests, to access the restricted Internet site, for the complete solicitation, to the attention of the POC as referenced below. This request should include the contractor's company name, DUNS number, Tax ID#, mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address. Additionally, the contractor must review, complete, and return the attached Document Security Notice (DSN), along with a copy of their business license (if available), to the POC. Upon receipt of the completed DSN, and acceptance of the firm's request for access to the restricted site and the solicitation, two separate e-mails will be transmitted, to the e-mail address provided, assigning the firm a User ID and password. These e-mails will provide instructions and requirements for entry into the secured Extranet site and access to the solicitation. A bid guarantee will be required.
