Description
The Air Force intends to hold an Industry Day for informational purposes as it relates to the upcoming acquisition for operation and maintenance services for the Alaska Radar System (ARS). The goal of this event is to: 1) inform industry about the specific operating and logistical environment encountered during remote site operations. 2) Provide an operational overview briefing detailing the unique geographic demands and challenges confronting remote radar installations. 3) Solicit questions from interested offerors. Industry Day will be held on Tuesday, 18 February, 2003 from 0900 to not later than 1200 in the Susitna Club, Denali Room, 9387 Kuter Road, Elmendorf AFB, AK. Interested companies are limited to four (4) attendees each. Notify Capt Robert McCabe at (907) 552-5294 not later than 13 Feb 03 to secure reservations and access to base. Attendees must process through the Boniface Gate Visitors Center; each vehicle operator must provide a valid drivers license, proof of registration, and current vehicle insurance documentation. Please direct any questions or comments to Capt McCabe at the number listed above.try maximum flexibility to propose innovative and cost effective methods to meet those objectives. The previous acquisition for this requirement was not accomplished under FAR Part 12 because of the complexity and type of contract terms and conditions. However, responses to this synopsis will be used to assist the contracting officer to determine whether the upcoming acquisition can be accomplished under Part 12. Interested firms should submit information on their experience, capabilities, and resources to satisfactorily perform the mission as stated in the PWS. Capability statements of up to 15 pages in length may be submitted to the contracting officer, Timothy Inman, 3CONS/LGCZ, 10480 22nd Street, Elmendorf AFB, AK 99506, and are requested by 8 October 2002.
