Description
The U.S. Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) is a Federal agency that administers a disability annuity program for the nation?s railroad workers. The RRB is seeking a firm to schedule and conduct medical examinations and ancillary tests for RRB claimants and beneficiaries applying for disability annuities and to report examination findings to the RRB in a prescribed format. The contractor must conduct specified examinations and tests in strict adherence to guidelines detailed in the solicitation. That document will also address the timeliness of response to examination requests, adequacy of submitted reports, cost effectiveness, program safeguards, and the existence of a verifiable accounting system. The RRB will seek vendor proposals to provide nationwide coverage. Physicians in the firm?s network must be geographically located throughout the United States to provide these examinations and tests at minimum inconvenience to RRB individual medical practitioners. The Contractor will be required to provide the full range of services outlined in the solicitation during a potential sixty (60) month period beginning October 1, 2003. If you are interested in providing this service for one year with an option for four one-year extensions beginning October 1, 2003, you must submit an offer to the Board in accordance with the enclosed solicitation. In order to be considered for award your offer must be received by this office no later than 11:00 a.m. local time on May 16, 2003. Potential offerors may request copies of the Exhibits by e-mail or fax.
