Description
MT OMAD 18(36), MINUTEMAN MISSILE BASE ROADS, Judith Basin, Fergus, and Wheatland counties, Montana. THIS MODIFICATION IS ISSUED TO CHANGE THE RESPONSE DATE TO MAY 23, 2003. This project will be bid with a Base schedule plus two Options (Base, Opt. A, Opt. B). The work consists of road reconditioning and aggregate resurfacing: 97.2 km (Base), 13.84 km (Opt. A), 8.79 km (Opt. B). The project consists of contractor sampling & testing; construction schedules; temporary traffic control; watering for dust control: 21,000 cu m (Base), 3,000 cu m (Opt. A), 2,000 cu m (Opt. B); untreated aggregate courses: 169,400 t (Base), 23,800 t (Opt. A), 15,100 t (Opt. B); flagger hours: 3,402 hrs (Base), 484 hrs (Opt. A), 308 hrs. (Opt. B); and other smaller items of work. Project is located approximately 165 km east of Great Falls, Montana. Work shall be completed by October 27, 2003 (Base); April 19, 2004 (Option A); and April 29, 2004 (Option B). Estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs): The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. DOT?s Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance, and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT?s Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at prime rate.
