Description
Reference is hereby made to the combined synopsis/solicitation, posted on the FBO on April 1, 2003. This notice is considered Solicitation BBGCON2203S5356-BJS Amendment Number 1. Based on the above, the solicitation is hereby amended to provide answers to questions raised by potential offerors, which are noted below: Question 1. Is a company eligible to submit a proposal if it is located in New York (would that be a problem)? Answer: Location is not a problem. Question 2. Are all or nearly all of the addresses on your mailing list located within the People's Republic of China (PRC)? Answer: All the subscribers are in the PRC. Question 3. What is the relative distribution among the various national cities and provinces of the PRC and can you provide any details about the profile of the people on your mailing list? Answer: Although an analyses of the geographic or demographic distribution of the subscribers is not available, an initial look at addresses indicates they are all over the country and mail indicates a wide variety of people, but especially students and business people. Question 4. Where can examples of the scripts, or, preferably, an example of Business Scene or its mock-up be seen? Answer: An example of Business Scene can be sent via electronic mail by contacting bsesky@ibb.gov. Question 5. What are the expected dimensions of Business Scene? Answer: Current dimensions are A4 size, but this can be adjusted. Question 6. What is the minimum page-count of the editorial content? Answer: Minimum page count of textual editorial content, based on the current font size, is about 36 pages excluding the cover. Question 7. Since postage per piece is almost the same as the cost of production per piece, are you looking for one grand total or an itemized total? Answer: An itemized total. Question 8. Will your office provide a US Government Standard Form 18, Request for Quotation, or would you prefer the price portion of our response on corporate letterhead? Answer: Price portion should be on corporate letterhead. Question 9. In actual practice, is the postage deposited before or after shipment of the magazine? Answer: The publisher/contractor is responsible for paying the postage. All the terms and conditions described in the original announcement remain the same. The deadline date for submission of proposals is not extended.
