Description

TRAFFIC PAINT AND REFLECTIVE BEADS 1) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. 2) Solicitation F65501-03-T-0013 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). 3) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13) This solicitation is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 325510, Size standard: 500 employees. 5) ITEM DESCRIPTIONS: L/I 0001- White Traffic Paint. Description: Must be lead-free waterborne emulsion-based traffic paint. Must be equal or better than solvent-based traffic paint. When applied at ambient temperature (77 degrees temperature and 50% Relative Humidity) At 10 to 15 mils, 30 to 90 second no-track time. Product must not promote asphalt cracking. Must have the ability to be applied hot or cold with waterborne compatible striping equipment. Product must conform to Federal Clean Air Act Amendment of 1990. Product must be available in bulk containers of 250 gallons. Containers will be taken back by the company when emptied. Must meet Federal Spec TT-P-1952 Fast Dry Formula. Quantity: (6) EA. L/I 0002- Yellow Traffic Paint. Description: (See L/I 0001) Quantity: (8) EA. L/I 0003- Black Traffic Paint. Description: (See L/I 0001) Quantity: (2) EA. L/I 0004- Red Traffic Paint. Description: (See L/I 0001) Quantity: (1) EA. L/I 0005 – Reflective Traffic Beads. Description: Must conform to Alaska specifications. Product must be available in 50 LB bags. Quantity: (384) BG 6) N/A. 7) DELIVERY: FOB DESTINATION to Elmendorf AFB, Alaska 99506, NLT 23 May 03. If you are unable to meet the required delivery date please state your delivery terms/time. 8) FAR 52.212-1 – Instructions to Offerors—Commercial, applies to this acquisition. 9) FAR 52.212-2 – Evaluation – Commercial Items. Award will be made based on the low price/technically acceptable offer. The government reserves the right to make award on the initial quote received without discussions. 10) Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items with Alternate 1 with the offer.
