- Description
- The United States Postal Service, Pacific Facilities Service Office, is seeking interest from General Contractors to pre-qualify for one or more Indefinite Quantity Contracts (IQC)/Job Order Contracts (JOC) for repair and alteration projects within the Long Beach District. The maximum aggregate amount under the contracts will not exceed $9.5 million dollars. A Job Order Contract is an indefinite quantity contract pursuant to which the contractor will perform a series of individual projects at different Postal Service facilities. Pre-qualified contractors will propose a Multiplier to be applied to a Unit Price Schedule. This Multiplier will apply to each unit price in the Unit Price Schedule. General Contractors must meet the following minimum requirements to apply: 1) Your firm must be located within 50 miles of the Long Beach District Office, 2300 Redondo Ave., Long Beach, CA and must be willing and able to work on all projects that may occur within Long Beach District and possess a valid California contractors license(s) or provide a copy of the application to obtain such license(s); 2) Your firm must provide proof of bonding with a minimum aggregate dollar amount of $2,500,000; 3) Your firm must have been in business, under the firm?s present name, for a minimum of five consecutive years. In addition, selected contractors will be required to possess or obtain the minimum computer requirements and other requirements as outlined in the solicitation package. Factors used to evaluate the contractors who will meet the pre-qualification standards are detailed in the solicitation package and include financial capability, experience, and safety. The Contractor Qualification Statements will be evaluated by a USPS Committee, and only the most qualified contractors will be selected. Submittals must be completed using the format provided in the solicitation package. Submittals will not be returned. Only those applicants ordering a package will be evaluated. Applicants will be advised within 90 days after the closing of this solicitation as to pre-qualification status. This is NOT a Request for Proposal.
