Description
IPD Dated 3/5/02 NSN 4210-01-412-5683 NFES 0735 TIP, APPLICATOR: Shall be an all brass fog tip. The tip shall produce a fog pattern with a total spray angle of 18 degrees minimum or up to a 60 degrees maximum. The tip shall be sized to flow 3 gallons per minute (GPM) (plus or minus 1/2 GPM) at 100 psi. The tip shall be 1-1/2 inches long (plus or minus 1/8 inch) with an overall diameter no greater than 1-3/8 inches. The tip shall have 3/4 inch 11-1/2 NH female threads in accordance with Forest Service Specification 5100-190, latest revision. The outer diameter of the tip shall be knurled to provide a secure grip. The tip shall have a "3" stamped on it to indicate the 3 GPM rating. There shall be a gasket installed in the proper place when delivered. PACKAGING: Each tip shall be packaged in a close-fitting fiberboard or paperboard box. PACKING: Twenty-four (24) tips, packaged as specified, shall be packed in a close-fitting corrugated fiberboard box, minimum burst strength 200 psi (minimum edge crush strength 32 lb per inch width), and shall be in compliance with the applicable freight regulations. SPECIAL MARKING: The National Fire Equipment System (NFES) number appearing below the National Stock Number (NSN) of this Item Purchase Description shall be marked on the shipping container below the NSN. The NFES number shall be preceded by "NFES". MARKING: Shipments to GSA and other civilian agencies shall be marked in accordance with FED-STD-123. Shipments to the Department of Defense (DOD) shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129. PALLETIZATION: The shipping containers shall be palletized. The pallets shall be 48-inch length x 40-inch width, general purpose, four-way entry, flush stringer, double face non-reversible pallets. The palletized load shall not exceed 2500 pounds in weight. The palletized load shall not overhang the pallet and shall not exceed 53 inches in overall height. Less than half pallet loads or loads shipped by small package carrier need not be palletized. NOTICE: All lumber used inside or outside a shipment shall be BARK FREE. UNITIZATION OF PALLET LOAD: The palletized load shall be unitized and secured to the pallet to insure that the load arrives intact. NOTICE OF SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SHIPMENT TO EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRIES: Per Clause D-FSS-468, non-manufactured wood pallets and other non-manufactured wood package material used in shipments destined for ultimate delivery to or through a European Union (EU) country shall comply with the Emergency Measures (2001/219/EC) adopted by the Commission of the European Communities (CEC). Additionally, shipments delivered to DoD distribution facilities or freight consolidation points for eventual delivery to or through EU countries shall comply with DLA PROCLTR 01-15.
