Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a Small Business Set-Aside and the Government intends to procure on a competitive basis. Specifications: Double sheath, outside plant fiber optic cable. 72 single-mode fibers. Single mode fibers will attenuate 1300nm/1550nm at 0.80/0.50 db/kl or better. Total cable length is nominally 6 kilometers. Cable to be delivered as two contiguous segments. One segment not less than 4 kilometers. Quantity 6,000 Meters. Cable usage for Pt Loma campus fiber connectivity between Buildings 33 and 1 and various networking projects at SPAWAR Systems Center, San Diego CA. Quote "Brand Name or Equal" on the following part numbers: General Cable: AQ0724H1A-DWB or Hitach Cable: 60096-72. Deliverable: 6,000 meters. Include Freight Estimate with cost proposal. Partial Deliveries are acceptable. Deliver to Receiving Officer, Spawar Systems Center, San Diego, CA 92152-5410. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, award will be based on responsive, responsible, and technically acceptable offers received in response to this advertisement. "Numbered Note 1 applies, however, all offers received within 15 days (in lieu of 45 days) after date of publication of original synopsis will be considered by the Government". No Hard Copy of RFQ will be made available. Interested parties are invited to respond. Facsimile quotations are acceptable and must be received on or before the closing date.
