Description
1. Buoy Mounted Junction Boxes made in accordance with Statement of work. Quantity-250 each. The U.S. Coast Guard installs multiple solar panels on some bouys, that operate in northern latitudes and/or have large signal suites. A junction box is required to combine the solar panels, battery and loads. The box will be exposed to intense sea spray with occasional submergence. The junction box shall be a Hammond ZGRP series watertight glass reinforced polyester, part number 1590ZGRP with a poured silicon gasket (option, must be specified upon purchase) and removable lid secured with captive stainless steel hardware. Eight stuffing tubes, a Gore-Tex vent and 8-row barrier terminal strip are installed in the box. Delivery to be 90 days after award. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination, USCG Engineering Logistics Center, Warehouse Annex, Columbia Md. All responsible and responsive sources are invited to express their interest and ABILITY to provide the above-described item, via fax or email to Ms. Black, no later than 21 April 30, 2003. All responsive and responsible sources ay submit a quote, which will be considered by this agency. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The department of Transportation (DOT), short-term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
