Description

Contractor shall design and install a quick disconnect rail mounted sewage pump system with two alternating, solids handling, submersible pumps. The new pumps and controls shall match as closely as possible the existing equipment in volumetric capacity, voltage, and power usage for the designed lift. Pumps must have a 4" discharge and be able to handle solids up to 3" in spherical measurement. The system shall be designed where pumps and controls can be removed from the vault without having to access the vault. Work is to include installation of pit covers and access covers required for sewage pit component installation, removal, and maintenance. Site Walk-Through is scheduled for April 28, 2003 at 10:30 AM Site location is North of Alexandria, VA., South of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport; pumps are located in the Washington Sailing Marina parking area.
