Description
SSA-RFQ-03-0108 Amendment Three - The purpose of this amendment is to provide questions and answers regarding the requirement for lease of vehicles. Question #1: When was the current Town Car and Grand Marquis acquired and what is the current mileage for each? Response: The Town Car has 51,323 and was received on 4/11/02. The Marquis has 16,897 and was received on 4/24/02. Question #2: If the vehicles are going to be garaged at SSA Baltimore why have District of Columbia tags been requested? DC tax, title and tags are more expensive than Maryland. Can the cost of same be added to the very first lease invoice? Response: The vehicles will be garaged but the solicitation did not say that they would be garaged at SSA Baltimore. Although the acquisition is being conducted from our Baltimore office the duty station for the persons using the vehicles is Washington D.C. The contractor may prorate the tax, title and tag costs over the life of the agreement or may indicate a separate line item for these costs for the base year and Option Year II, when the replacement vehicles are required. Question #3: If the Town Car receives 35,500 or more miles per year will SSA accept replacement of the vehicle each year as long as the cost of same is clearly identified? Response: The contractor may elect to replace the Town Car sooner than the end of option year I as required by the solicitation. However, such replacement shall be at no additional cost to the government.
