Description

The Document Automation and Production Service within the Department of Defense, is examining sourcing alternatives for delivering a full range of document services to the DoD and other Government agencies. This is an expansion of the recent competitive sourcing actions that had been conducted following OMB Circular A-76 procedures. The DoD is seeking information that will help assess interest and better understand trends in the delivery of document services in its highly dynamic transition from paper-based business process to electronic document solutions. The intent is to add to the vast amount of information gleaned from the community during the previous A-76 process. The complete Request For Information (RFI), including a representation of the DAPS business model and an electronic industry survey, are available on a private Internet site. Interested parties are invited to register by sending an email request to dapsRFI@dla.mil. Please include the requestor?s name, telephone number, email address, and organization. The location of the private Internet site will be provided by return email message. Through the RFI process interested parties will be invited to engage in a dialog on the solutions that the government selects in this process.
