- Description
- The Department of Housing and Urban Development, Denver office intends to procure the services of a contractor to relocate its PBX/ACD components from its current location to a remodeled facility that will be cabled with Category 5e for voice and data to support HUD's telephone switching system. The work under this purchase order shall be accomplished in approximately ten sub-phases beginning on or about October 1, 2003 and continuing until December 1, 2003, which will be coordinated with move-in dates for different portions or departments of the Denver HUD office. The move-in dates are subject to change and may reduce the number of phases. The contractor may be required to work weekends to meet the schedule of move-in dates. It has not been determined whether HUD personnel will be moved by individual offices or by floor (6 floors total). Each sub-phase will consist of a minimum of one-half of a floor to a maximum of two floors consisting of approximately 50-60 workstations. The contractor's primary on-site telecommunications technician shall possess significant experience in the installation, testing and maintenance of the NEC NEAX 2000 IVS and 2400 IMX systems; experience on NEC's Automated Call Distribution (ACD) system and Global Navigator; and experience in Active Voice Repartee Voicemail System applications. In addition, the contractor shall provide certifications of training in the systems above. HUD intends to competitively procure these services. At this time HUD has not determined whether to solicit the service as a small business set aside or on an unrestricted basis (i.e. all business types) under FAR Part 13, or under the GSA Schedule under FAR Part 8. A decision will be made after reviewing the responses to this notice. Interested large businesses must express intent to subcontract at least 40% of the work to small businesses, in accordance with HUD's established goals for small business participation in procurement. For purposes of determining size status, NAICS code 811213, with $6M in annual receipts will be used. If interested, please email Gay E. Julian at Gay_E._Julian@hud.gov and provide the following: 1) Qualifications sufficient to ascertain the vendor may be able to perform the requirements stated above, including knowledge of and experience with the noted systems; 2) Identification as to whether the vendor is large or small, and if large, intent to subcontract 40% or more; 3) the vendor's GSA schedule number and point of contact if applicable. Do not submit a company overview or unnecessarily elaborate materials; submissions should not exceed 10 standard pages when printed. Vendors who do not provide the mandatory information may not be considered. Interested parties must respond no later than 4:30 pm Mountain Time, April 23, 2003.
