Description

The proposed acquisition is issued as Design/Build firm-fixed price contract, which is open to both small and large businesses. The NAICS code is 237310. The size standard is $28,500,000. The estimated contract time is 180 calendar days. The work consists of procurement, delivery, and installation for 1 (one) 120-foot steel trail bridge on the Tombigbee Ranger District and 2 (two) 40-foot trail bridges on the Homochitto Ranger District of the National Forests in MS. The proposed bridges will be prefabricated steel bridges from STEADFAST BRIDGE COMPANY or equals. This project also includes survey, design, and construction of the footings for the bridges. Cost to the Government is not expected to be the deciding award factor in the selection of a Contractor for this solicitation. The degree of significance of cost as a factor could become greater depending upon the quality of bids for other factors evaluated: Past performance Experience Price The contract time for this project is approximately 180 calendar days. Bid Bond in the amount of 20 percent of the offer must be submitted with proposal. On award, Contractor must provide Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of proposal offer to Contracting Officer within 10 days. This project is open to both LARGE and SMALL businesses.
