Description
NA The U.S. Military Academy is soliciting quotes for the Permethrin Treatment and Labeling of Government provided Battle Dress Uniforms (BDUs)and the attaching of labels. The Contractor shall attach, by sewing 1 each U.S. Army tape and 1 each USCC shoulder patch, to each BDU shirt. The Contractor shall treat with permethrin, label, fold and repackage into original shipping cases 5400-5500 new BDU summer shirts with U.S. Army tape and USCC shoulder patches (tapes and patches applied by the contractor), and 55 00-5600 summer BDU trouser. The contractor shall treat these nylon/cotton Battle Dress Uniforms with permethrin insect repellent at 1.3% on the weight of the garments by procedure shown in U.S. patents 5,884,418, dated 23 March 1999 and or 5,930,909, date d 3 August 1999; inventor Bartley F. McNally, assignee U.S. Army. The contractor shall label the BDUs with a sewn-in label identifying the garment as treated with permethrin and in accordance with enclosure. The government will ship palletized cases of B CU garments to the contractor in one to four shipments. The contractor shall treat, label, fold, sort and repackage BCUs into their original shipping cases (boxes) by size and garment type. The contractor shall ship treated, labeled, and repackaged BDUs under in similar palletized fashion as received to the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY. The contractor shall process and ship BDUs in a timely manner, with delivery no later than 5 June 2003. The issue date for this request for quotation is 7 April with the closing date of 10 April at 4:00 pm EST. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business participation.
