- Description
- The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240 has a requirement to Renovate 9 East for the Geriatric Research Education Clinic Center. Contractor shall provide all travel, labor, material and equipment and perform work to complete Project No. 646-01-107U, "Renovate 9 East for GRECC" in accordance with written specifications and drawings and conformance with all applicable codes, standards, rules and regulations. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, demolition, general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, asbestos abatement, and necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items in compliance with the specifications and drawings of the solicitation and in accordance with all applicable rules, standards and regulations necessary to complete the work specified. Project completion time is 90 days. The construction cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The applicable NAICS code is 233320 with the small business size standard of $28.5M. A Prebid Conference is scheduled for 10:00 am on May 6, 2003 in the Engineering Conference Room #AN216, Ground Floor at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. While not mandatory, all bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Bid opening will be held May 23, 2003 at 3:00 pm in the A&MM Conference Room 373E, Third Floor, Building 4 at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Solicitation is unrestricted and open to both large and small businesses. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency if received timely. Solicitation will be issued o/a 4/17/03 to interested parties through electronic data interchange at the following URL's: http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/ or http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ for downloading FREE OF CHARGE. Drawings are in AutoCAD 2000 format. Hard copy requests must be in writing submitted to Marian Ropelewski at the above address and accompanied by a non-refundable check for $60.00 made out to the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted. Any amendments to this solicitation will be available ONLY at the website.
