- Description
- The USDA Forest Service Region 5, Pacific Southwest, seeks potential sources under an Office of Manpower and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76 Cost Study to perform Fleet Maintenance Services. Region 5 is responsible providing a safe and dependable fleet in support of the Forest Service mission. The fleet consists of approximately 5500 vehicles including a broad spectrum of equipment from ATVs to computer controlled fire apparatus to heavy equipment. The fleet is a diverse mix of vehicle manufacturers (Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Mack, International, Honda, Polaris, John Deere, Caterpillar, etc.) The fleet is located in urban and remote areas throughout the State of California. This listing should be considered neither final nor all-inclusive at this time. While the study being advertised is certain to occur, the amount of contractual-related information available for publication at this time is limited. In accordance with FAR 5.205(e) and in order to provide industry sufficient information to make the necessary business decisions, this requirement will be synopsized a minimum of one additional time as new information becomes available. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this study is 811198, Automotive Repair and Maintenance. The size standard for small business is $6 million. Firms capable of performing the described services are invited to submit a description of their capabilities and experience to: USDA Forest Service 2550 Riverside Drive, Susanville, CA 96130 Attn: Robin Fowler. Submissions should be limited to fifteen pages and should identify any similar past or present experience and the type of business (i.e. large, small, small and disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone certified etc) and should be submitted no later than thirty (30) days after the posting date of this notice.
