- Item 0001 Noun: GEAR, SPUR NSN: 3020-00-858-4866RW P/N: 6829917 Appl to: T56 ENGINE Qty: 22 each Description: One of several gears enclosed within the accessory drive housing, which converts vertical kinetic energy into horizontal kinetic energy, to drive engine mounted accessories. Restricted Sources: Rolls Royce Corp. (CAGE: 63005), and Kitco Inc. (CAGE: 34087). Destination: Tinker AFB, FB2039 Required delivery date: Current active PR in support of this potential contract is for 22 each 31 Aug 2003 delivery. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 15 April 2003. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 15 May 2003. The anticipated award date will be June 2003. New/Unused Parts manufactured by Rolls-Royce or an Authorized subcontractor are acceptable. Items must be in original packaging with no visible signs of damage or corrosion present. Certification of manufacturer is required. Note: Faxed solicitation requests can be submitted to the buyer, Katherine Lindley, Tinker AFB, (405) 739-5504. This proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 45 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clauses 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms listed. Specifications, plans or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government.
