- NA Load Moment Indicator 1. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals ar e being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 2. Solicitation DACW85-03-T-0007 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). 3. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-12 4. In accordance with FAR 19.502, this acquisition is set aside for small business. If no offer is received from a responsible small business concern that is competitive in terms of market prices, quality and delivery, the set-aside will be withdrawn and offers will be solicited on an unrestricted basis. Market research indicates that this may be the case; therefore, large business offerors are encouraged to submit a quotation. The NAICS code is 335314, Size standards in number of employees: 750 5. Item Description: Load Moment Indicator with Boom Angle Indicator and Anti-2-Block device. These instruments are for a 1985 P&H 790 BTC 90 Ton Lattice Boom Truck Crane. They are for both the Main Line and the auxiliary load lines using 7/8? wire rope. The Load Moment Indicator and Boom Angle Indicator will be used for a duty cycle operation, u sing a clam bucket, bailing debris from a river. 6. DELIVERY: FOB DESTINATION to Chena Project Office, 3800 Laurance Road, North Pole AK 99705. Also, please include your delivery terms/time. 7. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clause 52.212-1 -- Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (Oct 2000), applies to this acquisition. 8. FAR 52.212-2 -- Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Jan 1999), applies to this acquisition. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factor shall be used to evaluate offers: Technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement. The government reserves the right to make award on the initial quote received without discussions. 9. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision; 52.212-3 -- Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (July 2002), Alternate I with the offer.
