Description

This solicitation shall include a base bid and option. Under the base bid the contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment necessary for cleaning and lining of existing 6", 8" and 12" water mains, replacement of segments of water mains, valves, fire hydrants, fittings and bends, disinfection and testing of the completed water mains, installation and removal of temporary water distribution system. Under the option, the contractor shall provide pavement reconstruction of Third Ave. from "H" Track to "K" Street including removal of existing bituminous paving, reconditioning of the sub-base, repaving of the street and repainting of pavement markings. Estimated Price Range: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Number of Days in Contract: 90 for Base and 30 for Option. Number of Bid Items: One with option. NAICS Code: 234910 Water, Sewer and Pipeline Construction $28.5M Prospective contractors must register in the DOD Central Contractor Registration Database prior to award. Offerors are notified that failure to register may render their firm ineligible for award. Specifications and drawings will not be directly provided in a paper hard copy format or CD-ROM. All prospective offerors are encouraged to register on the above web site for this procurement when specifications and drawings become available. Plan holders will be maintained on and can be printed from the web site. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (i.e. amendments) shall be made only on the web site. It is therefore the offeror's responsibility to check the web site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. This acquisition shall be Unrestricted with a 10% evaluation preference for HUB Zone Small Business.
