- Description
- Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the DRYDOCK & Repairs of USCGC BAYBERRY (WLI 65400) & BARGE (60044); a 65? inland buoy tender and barge, homeported in Seattle, Washington, is restricted to the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Puget Sound. All work shall be performed at the contractor?s facility, during the period of 10 September 2003 and complete 04 November 2003. A Request for Proposals (RFP), DTCG85-03-R-625530, will be issued on or about the 26 April 2003. Offerors are advised that the solicitation, specification and other notifications can also be accessed on the web at: www.eps.gov. Work items to include: production control, Gantt bar chart, appendages (underwater) preserve, internal, Bayberry and Barge/air test/leak test, Barge. BAYBERRY: shower and head renewal, UT measurement of hull plating thickness, buoy & cargo handling crane level 2 inspect, buoy decks (exterior, preserve, 100%, hull plating, underwater body preserve, partial, zinc anode renewal. BARGE: UT measurement of hull plating thickness, buoy & cargo handling crane level 2 & repair, buoy decks (exterior) preserve, general, hull plating, underwater body preserve, partial, zinc anode renewal. Tanks (potable water) clean & inspect, cross deck winches level 2 inspection, sewage collection tank replacement and miscellaneous piping modifications, exhaust piping repair and realignment, temporary services, provide for BAYBERRY & BARGE, drydocking accomplished, BARRY & BARGE. The solicitation is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
