- RFQ 72105 / Refrigeration Units to Refurbish / Install into Existing Boxes, Qty 2, for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Hawaii Questions and the Government?s Response. 1. Questions: What size are the boxes. Government response: 20'L x 8' W 2. Can we get plans & specifications? Government response: Plans/specs for this commercial item are not available from the Government. Plans/specs for the boxes are not available. Refer to question 3. 3. Questions Are the units walk-in refrigeration units Government response: Yes 4. Questions The contractor requests a site visits. Government response: Due to security issues, only one date and time will be scheduled for a site visit. The following date and time has been allocated for the contractor to visit the site; Thursday, March 27, 2003 at 10:00am. The point of contact to schedule this one-time visit is for clearance/base access: Lynnette Smith, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, 808-473-8000 x2926. The contractor is responsible for setting up the appointment ? interested parties will not be called by the Government. 5. Questions The Carrier model # 69NT40-511 is not a good number per carrier (Carrier Hawaii) please advise. Government response: Carrier Hawaii is an AC company - not a refrigeration division of Carrier. The Carrier model # 69NT40-511 is a correct part number. 6. Questions Are these units being installed in existing walk-in boxes, disassembling or disassembling is this correct? Government response: The chill/freeze boxes don't have to be disassembled, but the refrigeration units (power units) have to be removed and the new ones installed and tested. Not the boxes themselves. 7. Questions Is any up-grade of electrical work for these units required? Government Response: No electrical upgrade is required.
