- Description
- The Combat Direction Systems Activity, Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to procure support to manufacture one (1) Submarine V/UHF Multi-Function Antenna Outfit (AVXD) on a Sole Source basis from Thales Underwater Systems, Inc., Ocean House, Templecombe, Somerset BAD ODH United Kingdom. Thales Underwater Systems is the Original Equipment Manufacturer for the antenna. They are the only unique firm to manufacture the antenna and meet the government delivery schedule of 31 January 2004. There would be substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition as well as unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency?s requirements. Companies interested in providing an offer must be able to demonstrate in writing by 11 April 2003 their capability to provide this equipment.
