Description

It is the intention of the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Region to negotiate a sole source contract with Voltran Transformers for the purpose of manufacturing and installing an additional 115-Kilovolt three-phase transformer at Seminoe Powerplant and a 69-Kilovolt three-phase transformer for Heart Mountain Substation. The Seminoe transformer is required to be identical to the Seminoe Transformer KY2A manufactured by Voltran Transformers under Contract No. 98CP600210 and already installed at Seminoe. The Heart Mountain substation transformer is required to be identical to that also manufactured by Voltran and installed and operational at Heart Mountain. The transformers must be readily interchangable with the transformers previously furnished and installed in order to maintain the availability of critical power generation capabilbity at Seminoe and Heart Mountain.
