- Responses to this Sources Sought are requested from qualified 8(a) businesses . Any future contract will be under NAICS Code 541710. Interested 8 (a) businesses should provide the contracting office as early as possible, but not later than 10 days after this notice, evidence of their capability to perform the contract, and a positive statement of their eligibility as an 8(a). The USAF Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), in concert with the Air Force Command Control Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Center (AFC2ISRC) and Electronic Systems Center (ESC) has developed the Automated Assistance with Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace (A2IPB). As part of this effort a multiyear implementation program has been developed to continue spiral development and enhancements to A2IPB for the USAF Predictive Battlespace Awareness thrust. The objective of this effort is to: 1) support the advancement, integration, and application of Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace (IPB) technology to meet Air Force (AF), Command and Control (C2) and Intelligence Community unique requirements for Predictive Battlespace Awareness (PBA) and 2) facilitate the transition of this technology to aerospace and intelligence systems to meet AF, Command and Control and Intelligence Community needs. A primary goal of this effort is to facilitate rapid technology advancement, insertion and integration to meet a wide variety of customer needs, with optimization of systems interoperability through the use of modern commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)/government off-the-shelf (GOTS) technology, rapid prototyping, and non-proprietary technology. These technology activities are to be accomplished while promoting high quality, timely, and economical solutions to satisfy customer requirements. This effort will include enhancing and supporting the information architecture requirements of USAF's Automated Assistance with Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace (A2IPB) software application program. This will include defined, recurring R&D and O&M activities, spiral development, integration, installations, user familiarization, troubleshooting, and documentation. 8(a) businesses must demonstrate capabilities in the described areas of interest in response to this notice and are reminded that, as a prime contractor, they are required to perform over 50% of the effort.
