Small Business Set-Aside: Total HUB-Zone
Description: The National Park Service, Midwest Regional Office, seeks qualified HUBZONE companies to bid on the following project: PROJECT TITLE: Stabilization of Six (6) Bathhouses, Hotsprings Natinoal Park, Hot Springs, AR. The project includes the stabilization of six bathhoses (buildings) located on Bathhouse Row. The buildings are identified by the Lamar, Ozark, Quapaw, Maurice, Hale, and Superior. The work encompasses all major areas of various magnitude to each facility that includes but not limited to the roof, skylights, stairs (interior) ceramic tile dome repair, entry areas (inclusive of the exterior stairs/ramps), building structural system, new HVAC/ventilation system including the roughing of ground water infiltrating the basements, and new electrical work. Each building has its own specific areas of effort required as indicated on the contract documents. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 457 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed. MAGNITUDE OF PROJECT: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: A firm-fixed contract that has a base bid and two additive items. The base bid includes the stabilization of the Lamar, Ozark, Quapaw, and the Maurice Bathhouses. Bid Additive #1 will be the stabilization of the Hale Bathhouse. Bid additive #2 will be the stabilization of the Superior Bathhouse. Bids will be lump sum. NOTICE TO POTENTIAL BIDDERS: This project is set aside 100% for HUBZONE contractors that are certified with the Small Business Administration. The NAICS code for this project is 236220 with a size standard for small business of $28.5 million. All bids from qualified, certified HUBZONE bidders, timely received, shall be considered. PUBLICIZING AND RESPONSE TIME: Issuance of Invitation For Bid, I730003mg02 anticipated on or about March 31, 2003 with a Bid Opening date on or about April 30, 2003. The solicitation package will be issued electronically on Department of Interior's (DOI) National business center (NBC) web site, http://ideasec.nbc.gov. All attachments may be downloaded, free of charge, in one or more of the following formats: HTML; Microsoft Word - 97; Portable Document Format (PDF); or AUTOCAD DWG of DWF. Adobe Reader software is available for free download from http://www.adobe.com, as well as, AutoCad reader "Volvo View Express" is available for free download from http://www.autodesk.com. THIS ELECTRONIC POSTING REPRESENTS THE ONLY FORMAL OFFERING. A PAPER COPY OF THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL NOT BE ISSUED.
