- Description
- The Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate Advanced Guidance Division (AFRL/MNG) is announcing an Industry Day opportunity for the Miniature Navigation Demonstration (MIND) program in an effort to find interested sources to develop and demonstrate a very small, low cost, highly jam resistant GPS/inertial munitions navigator. The objectives of the MIND program are to reduce the size and cost of the high anti-jam RF front-end hardware and integrate with a state-of-the-art GPS receiver, MEMS-IMU, data processor, and interface electronics for demonstration as a miniature navigator. Three (3) navigator units are required to be delivered upon completion of the contract. The government anticipates one or more contract awards of up to 42 months duration. Submission of capability packages is not required but will be accepted at the industry day meeting and the one-on-one sessions or can be mailed. Firms having applicable interest, capability, and background are invited to attend this Industry Day on 13 November 2002 at Eglin AFB, FL. The Industry Day will commence at 0900 with a briefing to industry. The conference will be unclassified, but visit requests and DD Form 2345 Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement are required. Contact Michelle White prior to 8 November 2002 at (850) 882-5388 ext 1259, or via email at Michelle.White@eglin.af.mil, to identify personnel attending the conference and to obtain visit request information. One-on-one discussions will commence at 1230. Interested firms should contact Tim Jones, (850) 882-5388 ext 1293, or via email at Timothy.Jones@eglin.af.mil, to schedule a session and to obtain specific location information. It has been determined that foreign-owned companies are prohibited from participation at the prime level but may take advantage of available subcontracting opportunities.
