Description
THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SIOLICITATION ISSUANCE. This Request For Information (RFI) is being issued by The Naval Air Systems. The Navy is seeking information regarding the current level of technology and capability of the commercial sector to provide Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) in a military environment. Of particular interest is the availability of a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) product that can be Web Hosted, and which provides various levels of access control. It is highly desired that the support be available through the utilization of non-proprietary programs or products, or that the provider of CLS services be willing to sell the product, or rights thereto to the United States Government. Further, it is envisaged that this capability be provided via a software product that can be hosted on a high end PC, and that the application be compatible with current Navy Marine Corps Internet (NMCI) requirements. The system will be utilized in an Organization to Depot (O to D) maintenance environment. No aircraft maintenance will be involved with the provision of the CLS service. The Navy, at its sole discretion, may request an interested party to provide an oral presentation to the Government. The Government shall not reimburse interested parties for any presentations, marketing efforts or data related to their response to this RFI. This is not a request for proposal, and no contract will be awarded as a result of receipt of responses to this RFI. Respondents may not be notified of the results of the Navy?s review of any information submitted in response to this RFI. All Information submitted in response to this RFI shall be submitted to directly to Mr. George Shryock, DAPML, E-6 Block 1 Modification Program, 22477 Peary Road, Unit 10, Bldg 516, St3, Patuxent River, MD 20670-1607.
