Description
This acquisition is for Motorola Astro Model W5 radios, and encompasses all design engineering, kit fabrication; trial installation and testing; kit proof installation; and production installation for the UH-1N helicopter. Radio will allow communication with ground forces equipped with the Astro W5 radio. Quantity 19 each Group A and B kits. No technical data is available. Destination: Kit installation will be at Vandenberg AFB Calif., FE Warren AFB Wyo., and Malmstrom AFB Mont. Delivery of production installs is within six (6) months after receipt of contract. Justification: Justification: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). Only One or a Limited number of Responsible Sources, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and or to communicate concerns, if any concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsperson has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsperson is not to diminish the authority of the program director or the contracting officer, but to communicate serious contactor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsperson will maintain strict confidentially as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsperson does not participate in the evaluation of proposals in the source selection process.
