Description: Project consists of 120 acres of mechanical thinning of residual stands of conifers and hardwoods and mastication of slash, vegetative debris and brush for fuels reduction. Contractor furnished equipment shall have ground pressure not to exceed a maximum of 6 psi, width maximum shall not exceed 12 feet with pivot operator cab and attachment arm able to swing 360 degrees while working base remains stationary. Estimated start work date 05/19/03, contract time 85 days. Solicitation issue date 03/13/03. The project is located on the Nevada City Ranger District. The title of this notice shall be Mechanical Thinning and Fuels Reduction, Tahoe National Forest.
