- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has a requirement for COBRA JUDY Replacement (CJR) Mission Equipment (ME) and intends to award a contract via full and open competition. The CJR ME consists of a radar suite with active phased array X-band and S-band sensors, communications systems (Government-Furnished) and other related mission equipment. The radar suite will include a common back end for signal processing, data processing, and interfaces to other mission equipment elements. The successful offeror will be responsible for designing, producing, integrating and testing the ME in order to support integration onto a ship by FY09. The successful offeror will also be responsible for integrating the CJR ME onto the ship. The acquisition of the ship will be addressed later via a separate procurement action. The solicitation will also include a requirement for engineering ser vices. NAVSEA anticipates issuing a draft solicitation and supporting information to industry for an approximately two (2) week review and comment period. During this period, NAVSEA intends to conduct a bidder?s conference in Washington, DC or Dahlgren, VA to further clarify its requirements and the pending solicitation.
