Description
Reference FedBizOps announcement dated 15 November 2002, the government intends to acquire Stinger Air-to-Air Launcher (ATAL) Structures. The Stinger ATAL fires Block I Stinger and current production Stinger missiles; has provisions for growth missiles; plus has digital interface via MIL-STD-1553B and electrical interface via MIL-STD-1760. The procurement of this system is being conducted on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The intended source is Raytheon Electronic Systems, 1151 East Hermans Road, Tucson, AZ 85734-1337. Raytheon Electronic Systems is the only known source for this Stinger ATAL with Stinger Universal Electrnics (SUE). A firm fixed price contract with options is anticipated. Test sets and digital missile simulators will be also procured. The ordering is expected to be from date of award through FY 2006. This is a DO-A1 rated order. The solicitation number is USZA95-03-R-0002. The North American Industrial Classification code is 336413; the business size is 1000 employees. FOB: Destination. Inspection/Acceptance: Destination. The request for proposal document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09. Proposals for this solicitation will be accepted by mail, or by e-mail. The solicitation will be issued on or about 3 March 2003 and available from the Technology Applications Contracting Office (attn: Kay Griffin). Proposals are due 2 April 2003, 2:00 PM local time and should be addressed to: Technology Applications Contracting Office, Attn: AMSAM-TASO-K (attn: Kay Griffin), Lee Blvd., Building 401, Ft.
