Description
This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation to provide services for Career Transition Training for Senior Enlisted and Officers during Fiscal Year 2003. The solicitation is prepared in accordance with format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with information included in this notice. This procurement is set-aside for Snall Business. All responsible sources may submit an offer. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and proposal. A separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number: USZA94-03-Q-09003, Closing Date: 03 March 2003, 0800 PST. This solicitation will document and incorporate clauses in Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The Standard Industrial Code: 8999 and the NAICS is: 514199. This Acquisition is being conducted in accordance with FAR 12 and in conjuction with FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, 100% Set-Aside. This solicitation is F.O.B. Destination. Three (3) Career Transition Seminars as follows: 17-21 March 2003 San Diego, CA,(Senior Officers) 14-18 July 2003 Little Creek, VA,(Senior Officers) 2-6 June 2003 Damneck, VA (Senior Enlisted). The goal is to train and prepare retirement eligible personnel in managing their transition to civilian life and new career in the "real" world. At the minimum, the following areas shall be covered: Evaluating and deciding on a new career field, Building a winning resume, Developing and cultivating contacts, Networking inside and outside of the service, Effectively marketing one self, Coping with the "stress" of retirement and transition, Effective communication, Information and job interview techiques, Research and preparation, Compensation and salary negotiation skills, Business world reality, Retirement reality. Prospective contractors after 3-May-1998 must be Central Contractor Registered (CCR), DFARS 240.7302, FAR 52.214(i), Procedures as outlined in FAR 12 and in conjunction with FAR 13 are applicable.
