Description

SOLE SOURCE REQUIREMENT FOR ABB INCORPORATED THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER AND AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER. RESPONSE TIME BY 17 MAR 2003, AT 12:00PM 1. Statement of Work: A. Remove open for inspection and overhaul all four (4) main engine turbo chargers. a. Disassemble turbo chargers and inspect in accordance with manufacturer and NAVSEA requirements. Rotors shall be balanced prior to reassemble. b. Clean inspect bearings, bearing housings and casings. c. Reassemble turbo chargers using new bearings gaskets, seals, pumps and worn or defective parts. d. Record all ?as-found? and ?as-released? clearances. e. Fill sumps with GFM oil from Ships Force. f. Verify that turbo chargers are operating in accordance with manufacturers requirments during sea trials. B. The contractor shall provide all materials. C. Required Documents: a. Provide a preliminary trip report and brief the Chief Engineer and Port Engineer prior to leaving the vessel on all findings. Provide an electronic final type written report forwarded to the Chief Engineer, Type Desk and the Port Engineer. 2. Vessel Availability: 2/24/02 TO 3/14/03 Request provide labor, equipment, and material for Starboard Main Engine Inspections. Only written (fax or email) requests will be accepted. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is 14 February 2003.
