- The 311 HSW/YAPS, Brooks City-Base, TX, intends to issue solicitation F41624-03-R-1103 for FILTER UNIT, GAS PARTICULATE. National Stock Number (NSN) 4240-01-343-3443, Part Number 51620-80. Relative NAICS code 333411. TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The purpose of the solicitation will be to award a three-year, firm fixed price requirements type contract, to include a (1) one-year base period with Best Estimate Quantity (BEQ) of 919; (2) one-year priced option periods with 919 BEQ each. Total BEQ is 2,757. A FIRST ARTICLE, 1 lot consisting of one (1) unit is required. Contractor First Article Testing, with a Government quality assurance representative present, if approved, will be shipped to FB2065. The Test Report will be sent electronically to the email addresses listed on/IAW DD Form 1423, for approval. Successful First Article will become part of the production quantity. Disapproved First Articles will be retained by 311 HSW/YACN pending disposition instructions from the contractor. Waiver of First Article Approval for offerors who provide proof of having previously furnished production quantities of the same or similar articles to the Government. Size/Dimensions: 6 inches X 9 inches. Predominant material: Aluminum Alloy. Function: Used to provide blown air to an aircrew eye/respiratory (AERP) hood during ground and flight operations for de-mist and filtered breathing air. Delivery is Warner Robins AFB (FB2065). Inspection and acceptance at source. Responses should be submitted no later than 30 days after synopsis appears. Please note that telephone requests will not be honored. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentially as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
