Description

NA This solicitation is for an estimated maximum quantity of 2,000 each, C2 Canister Splash Guards, P/N: M70004001, and 1,000 each ?Y? Connector Hose Assemblies, P/N Group 0202, Hose Assembly, End Item: Improved Toxicological Agent Protective Suit (ITAP). T his solicitation is restricted to Micronel Safety, Incorporated as they are the only known contractor who meets the requirements. In addition, Micronel possesses the Technical Data Package (TDP); therefore no government owned TDP is available for the Spla sh Guard and ?Y? Connector Hose Assemblies. In addition, the risk of producing the Splash Guard and ?Y? Connector Hose Assemblies to meet OSHA and Federal regulatory guidance is such that a new producer may be unable to adhere. The aforementioned contrac tor is a small business concern. This proposed action will result in a firm fixed price type contract. First Article Testing is required. FOB is destination. The purpose of the ITAP CASS C2 Splash Guard is to provide splash protection for the C2 Canist ers on the CASS blower when the ITAP ensemble is in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Level C mode. The design of the CASS C2 Splash Guard shall be in accordance with the design approved for the ITAP Ensemble. The Splash Guard must be resistant to the chemicals listed in Tables I, II, III of MIL-PRF-XXX, Performance Specification, Improved Toxicological Agent Protective (ITAP) Ensemble, dated 8 March 2002. The Splash Guard will attach to the CC2 Canister using zip straps. The zip stra ps will be supplied as a part of the unit package. NOTE 22 APPLIES
